About the role
We are seeking a high-grit, Senior Account Executive to spearhead new business acquisition and drive pipeline growth in the New York market. This is a pure Individual Contributor (IC) "Hunter" role designed for a self-motivated closer who thrives in ambiguity and is excited to transform our sales model from a reactive, inbound-heavy approach into a proactive, outbound powerhouse. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you will act as a strategic territory builder—aggressively prospecting, unearthing untapped enterprise opportunities, and commanding the entire full-cycle sales process to consistently outpace quotas and drive a high-velocity culture of winning.
- Engage prospects, qualify leads, and drive growth through direct outreach and relationship building.

Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and uncover untapped enterprise opportunities in the New York market.
- Command the full-cycle sales process, from initial outreach to closing deals.
- Drive pipeline growth and consistently outpace sales quotas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients.
- Leverage best practices and deep industry knowledge to differentiate Nielsen in the market.
- Solve complex problems by analyzing multiple sources of information and exercising sound judgment.
- Lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
- Explain complex, difficult, or sensitive information to build consensus.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience with a track record of independent work product.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
- Strong background in AdTech, MarTech, or Data/Audience Measurement.
- Knowledge of the media landscape and how data drives marketing ROI is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and SalesLoft/Outreach.
- Comfortable using AI tools to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Extreme grit, coachability, and perseverance through ambiguous or challenging stages.
- Must be based in the New York City office (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week).

Pay
The posted base salary range is a reasonable estimate that may be adjusted based on the final work location of the selected employee. Individual pay within the range is determined by factors such as experience, training, geography, certifications, and business needs. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for bonuses, equity, or other incentives.
