About the role
Ralph Lauren Corporation is seeking a Selling Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is part of the Store Leadership team and contributes to achieving strategic plans for a profitable business.
Responsibilities
- Execute strategic plans to ensure a profitable business
- Assign and manage tasks, goals, and priorities for the team
- Lead by example, providing feedback, coaching, and support to the sales team
- Monitor and achieve sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Model selling behaviors and lead in performance metrics
- Act as mentor to employees, providing guidance to enhance skills and product knowledge
- Support training programs aligned with brand standards
- Provide feedback to Store Management on team performance and development needs
- Sell 50% of the time, implementing clienteling strategies to build customer loyalty
- Execute promotional activities and sales events
- Ensure consistent customer experience aligned with Ralph Lauren and CEL standards
- Support customer concern process, escalating as needed to senior Management
- Champion new technology for New Ways of Selling and More Ways to Shop
- Communicate sales and profit performance tools to the store team
- Support inventory control and maintain productivity standards
Requirements
- Retail Supervisory or similar industry experience
- Fashion insights and awareness of industry trends (a plus)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
- Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressing room, cash wrap and office; work around/with chemicals, lift/climb up to 30 lbs., and climb moderately
- Ability to operate the register, stand, move and walk for multiple hours
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Possess and demonstrate business acumen
- Proven track record of success, including a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management and co-workers
- Strong planning and prioritization/time management skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of retail experience
- Experience in a supervisory role preferred
