About the role
The Selling District Sales Manager (Selling DSM) is temporarily responsible for developing and growing a sales territory while learning our sales process, product knowledge, leadership expectations, and company training methods. In this role, you will actively manage accounts and prospect new business. This position is designed as a development path into a full District Sales Manager role. As you achieve agreed-upon goals for territory growth and performance, you will transition into the full responsibilities of a District Sales Manager, including leadership, expanded territory management opportunities, building customer relationships, and driving territory growth through a combination of sales and service activities.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales goals through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and upselling
- Build brand awareness within your assigned territory
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, demonstrating the value and capabilities of our products
- Implement and sell innovative customer programs designed to create unique value
- Maintain/build sales relationships with existing and new customers
- Complete paperwork necessary to fulfill position responsibilities
- Promote company marketing and promotional programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Prior B2B sales experience
- Ability to train and coach direct sales representatives during the selling process
- Experience in territory and district management
- Strong selling, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization, both verbal and written
