Overview
This position is located in Howard Beach, Queens, NY (remote work). The pay range is $26.25 per hour, with a standard workweek of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours).
Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in and oversee the hiring process for direct support staff.
- Conduct staff orientation and ensure all onboarding tasks are completed accurately.
- Provide ongoing training and re-training to ensure full compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- Maintain and update the employee roster daily.
- Review and approve staff time entries, including time corrections.
- Complete monthly time summary reviews and approvals.
- Process payroll system approvals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Support and implement the corrective action policy when necessary.
- Review and approve time-off requests based on program needs.
- Complete DSP evaluations in accordance with agency standards and timelines.
- Review and approve staff activity fee request submissions.
- Review and approve mileage reimbursement requests.
- Evaluate staff activity fee submissions and mileage reimbursement requests to ensure they meet all agency and program requirements.

- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using HRIS/timekeeping systems and agency software.
- Education and Experience: Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, prior experience in staff supervision, HR support, compliance, or program administration strongly preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of Payroll Systems: Knowledge of payroll systems preferred.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Physical Characteristics
- Must be capable of sitting or standing in front of a computer for long periods of time.
- Able to work in an open space floor plan.
- Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet.
