Seeking Veterans to visit Veterans on Hospice

Duties

• Provide a meaningful visit to another veteran who has been admitted to Penn Hospice.
• Lend a listening ear to the patient and their family.
• Bring comfort and meaning to the patient and their family.
• Provide an opportunity to reminisce with the patient.
• Bring honor and dignity to the patient's contribution to all Americans.

Requirements

• Be a veteran or an active member of one of the branches of the US Armed Forces.
• Have the desire to recognize and honor fellow veterans.
• Be flexible in scheduling visits when veterans are admitted.
• Have the ability to provide a respectful presence and caring companionship to a veteran/hospice patient.
• Communicate with team regarding availability and scheduling.

Commitment Details

Variated and flexible, on an "as needed" basis OR as a regular routine.
