Seeking Military Veterans to Serve and Support our Hospice Veterans

About the role

To support our mission of providing exceptional home health, palliative, and hospice care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate representative of the Armed Forces (active or retired) to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Veterans and their families.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer with our We Honor Veterans program to provide companionship, care, and honor to Veterans and their families.
• Engage in meaningful conversations with Veterans, helping them share their stories and experiences.
• Offer emotional support and validate the unique experiences of those with military service.
• Participate in activities that promote healing and strengthen bonds between Veterans and their loved ones.

Requirements

• Active or retired member of the Armed Forces.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with others on a personal level.
• Willingness to listen and provide a safe space for Veterans to express themselves.
• Experience working with Veterans or a strong interest in learning about their experiences.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• A deep understanding of the challenges faced by Veterans and their families.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of our Veterans.

Pay

Compensation is based on the volunteer's experience and availability.

Schedule

Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week, with opportunities to increase as needed.
