About the role

Join Passionately Pets, a local in-home pet sitting and dog walking company, as a midday dog walker. Enjoy the outdoors, get exercise, and spend time with amazing local dogs in this fun and rewarding position.

Responsibilities

• Enter clients’ homes and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15–30 minutes each)
• Walk pets as requested
• Feed pets as requested
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
• Patrol homes for accidents or damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Clean any accidents or damage discovered in clients’ homes
• Communicate with management

Requirements

• Northern Virginia residence within 3 miles of 22301 preferred
• Available for at least 2 consecutive hours between 10 AM and 3 PM, Monday–Friday
• Own reliable mode of transportation
• Own reliable smartphone with internet access and data plan
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Timely and punctual
• Able to self-manage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate about animals
• Comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
• Willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Able to make at least a 6-month commitment (longer preferred)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

Pay

$24–$28/hour plus tips, paid on a per-visit basis.
