Seed Hub Operations Specialist

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility according to divisional objectives.
• Provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.
• Keep branch personnel up to date on their customer’s orders that are ready for them to either deliver or to have their customers pick up.
• Order all seed for the salespeople through the Agvance Ordering system and Seed Sales Tool.
• Palletize and otherwise make ready for shipment, all seed orders.
• Assist Agronomy Branch’s with Operational Tasks – Deliveries, loading and unloading trucks.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations.
• Manage costs by eliminating shrink, managing inventories and maximizing efficiencies.

Skills And Qualifications

• Must understand basic business principles of inventory management and personnel supervision.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain Category 1A and 4 applicators license, or ability to obtain.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers and supporting locations.
• Should have a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility.
• BS Agriculture related degree preferred.
• 3 – 5 years progressive Agronomy related experience.
• Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies.
