About the role

The Security Supervisor coordinates security activities on assigned shifts and supervises Security team members. The Supervisor ensures a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets and maintaining a secure atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the performance of personnel under their supervision.
  • Acts as a role model, always presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
  • Maintains attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Supervises all Security and field activities to ensure adequate protection of company and guest assets, safety of customers, and team members.
  • Roams or stands at posts to ensure safety and security, observes suspect activity, and handles suspect activity with management.
  • Trains and coordinates Security personnel to ensure compliance with policies and provide a safe environment.
  • Coordinates Louisiana Economic Development Gaming Commission and company policies to ensure effective performance.
  • Assists Security shift leader in Security functions, including scheduling, monitoring of alarms, and reporting of disorder.
  • Ensures proper staffing and relief schedules are in place.
  • Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy, and sustains enthusiasm.
  • Communicates service breakdowns and team plans in buzz sessions and facilitates opportunity-seeking scenarios.
  • Keeps team well-informed of property promotions and events.
  • Develops highly skilled, successful employees, sets realistic and measurable service standards, and holds employees accountable for meeting them.
  • Clearly communicates and enforces company expectations, including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, department goals, and business strategy.
  • Addresses employee performance issues, coaches for improvement, and provides ongoing feedback.
  • Uses Team Member survey data to improve the workplace, listens and responds to employees, recognizes, and rewards individual and team performance.
  • Directs and supervises activities in assigned zones, with assistance from the Security force.
  • Conducts investigations as assigned.
  • Participates in the supervision, operation, and support of all cross-department operations.
  • Complies with Louisiana Gaming Commission Regulations and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.
  • Maintains a well-groomed appearance which reflects the professional appearance and demeanor of the Security Department.
  • Maintains the required attendance guidelines for the job and adheres to all company and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in a casino.
  • High school diploma, GED, or extensive professional and college-level training are required.
  • Minimum 1 year of Supervisory or Lead experience preferred.
  • Extensive command or supervisory level law enforcement experience, and/or casino security experience, or a combination thereof, is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with good analytical ability, including tact when dealing with difficult customers; reads, writes, speaks, and understands English.
  • General familiarity with investigative procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to obtain or possess a Louisiana Gaming License.
