Security Supervisor
About the role
The Security Supervisor oversees security operations at our Tampa cultivation and manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safety of employees, visitors, and company assets while maintaining compliance with all applicable security regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Supervise security operations for the Tampa facility.
- Monitor surveillance systems and ensure cameras are functioning properly.
- Conduct daily inspections of facility cameras, offices, cultivation areas, greenhouses, and perimeter security.
- Manage facility access for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain employee access control and company identification badge permissions.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with contracted security providers.
- Conduct monthly meetings with the contracted security company to review security performance and address concerns.
- Maintain communication with the off-site alarm monitoring company.
- Serve as the primary emergency contact for facility alarms and determine when law enforcement should be dispatched.
- Investigate security incidents, accidents, thefts, property loss, and other reported concerns.
- Review and respond to all security incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with company anti-diversion programs and security procedures.
- Review and recommend updates to security-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain professional relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Ensure employees follow all security policies and procedures.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of security operations experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, surveillance systems, and safety practices.
- Ability to make sound independent decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and security-related software.
- Working knowledge of data processing technologies.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises the Security Department and provides leadership to the site's security personnel.
Work Environment
The role regularly uses security systems, surveillance equipment, computers, telephones, copiers, and other standard office equipment. This position operates within cultivation, manufacturing, and office environments. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, use hands and arms to operate equipment and perform inspections, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds, and maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Criminology, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by state law.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
