Essential Functions
- Oversees staffing, scheduling, evaluating, training, developing, monitoring and lead team members in such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture.
- Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.
- Maintain, through supervision and direct observation, a continuous awareness of all property activity.
- Respond appropriately to any incidents and or service needs.
- Ensure proper arrest procedures and detainment techniques are carried out in accordance with civil or company laws or procedures; assists various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure that procedures and laws are observed.
- Maintain all current information on cheats, thieves, vagrants, etc. to ensure the protection of company assets, patrons, and employees; develops and maintains communications with law enforcement agencies and security personnel of other casinos to relay security information.
- Resolve guest complaints and ensures that all areas of guest service are adhered to.
- Provide support to departmental management in the event of troublesome terminations, thefts, investigations, and procedures as requested.
- Oversees all occupational injury reports as needed, assuring that Horseshoe St. Louis maintains its procedures and liability issues.
- Schedule training classes on various topics such as CPR, Fire Fighting & Response, First-Aid, and general security procedures to ensure the security and protection of assets, patrons/guests and employees.
- Ensure that all Internal and External policy and procedures for Slot Department ,Table Games Department and Cage Department are correctly implemented and maintained, i.e., fills, credits, transfers, pit boxes, drops, Jackpots, etc.
- Promote a safe and secure working environment.
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
- Must be able to maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Demonstrated supervisor experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of civil and criminal laws
- Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Regular and punctual attendance is required
Qualifications
- A high school education or equivalent and two years progressive experience in security operations, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
