Security Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

• Affords assistance with the daily arrival and dismissal of students, including parent pick-up.
• Collaborates with the Principal on safety procedures and drills, adhering to school policies and procedures.
• Manages the collection, storage, and disposal of confiscated items from students, following school policies and procedures.
• Provides support as needed in training and assigning contracted uniformed police and security officers, according to school policies and procedures.
• Efficiently manages and distributes bus passes.
• Ensures the campus is cleaned to school standards and guidelines.
• Supports training of school staff in crisis prevention and other approved policies and procedures.
• Conducts required sanitation and safety surveys according to school policies and procedures.
• Assists in all initiatives to meet defined FTE enrollment and attendance goals.

Job Requirements And Prerequisites

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in working with disruptive and/or low performing and at-risk youth is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills, along with experience in facilities maintenance, is preferred.
