About the role
DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company, established in 1995. We began as an investigations firm and have since expanded to provide uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention services, and more based on client needs. As an unarmed Security Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to grow, develop, and meet new people in a professional setting while serving a critical purpose on a team.
Responsibilities
- Delivery Access Control: Check in/out semi-truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.
- Patrolling: Walk the interior and exterior of various buildings on site, monitoring for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
- Mobile Patrol: Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.
- Warehouse Access Control: Ensure client employees complete COVID health screenings and provide next-step directions based on results.
- Dispatching: Follow procedures to dispatch personnel for emergency and non-emergency responses.
- Monitoring: Utilize computer-aided software and monitor CCTV systems using recording devices.

Current opening: Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No felony convictions; must pass a criminal background check per federal, state, and local laws
- Must pass a drug test at hire and randomly thereafter
- Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
- Willingness to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Driving Record Standards
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of the shift, including long distances and possibly up and down stairs
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Readiness to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
