SECURITY SPECIALIST

Position Description You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group, Security Dept of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and effective sec practices across all levels of security (SAP, SCI, collateral).You will be the Senior Security Specialist actively participates in and often leads command-supported security exercises and activities, contributing significantly to the command's overall security posture.You will serve as a technical authority and mentor, providing guidance and direction to other security personnel while working cross organizationally through the department.You will attend security meetings and mandatory training sessions scheduled by the security manager or Branch Head, staying current on the latest security policies and best practices and often representing the command as a subject matter expert.You will ensure that corrective actions are implemented and that appropriate training is provided to responsible personnel, while also identifying and addressing root causes to prevent recurrence.
