Security Shift Supervisor - Armed

About the role

The Armed Security Shift Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer site. Acting as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers, you will supervise staff, provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff on assigned shift, ensuring effective performance and adherence to protocols.
• Communicate staffing needs to the Account Manager or Operations Manager.
• Ensure officers receive appropriate training, developing both technical and professional skills.
• Address employee grievances with support from district or regional HR and Account or Operations Manager.
• Administer Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and safety programs, outlining site-specific hazards for security officers, including vehicle/driving safety as applicable.
• Assist the Account or Operations Manager in managing uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles, maintaining inventories and maintenance checklists.
• Handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently at the client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of personnel and the public.
• Meet licensing requirements as per state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• 5+ years of security experience and supervisory experience are required.

Skills

• Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.

Pay

$23.00 / hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
