Security Shift Supervisor - Armed

About the role

The Armed Security Shift Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. This role acts as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach professional security officers on the assigned shift
• Provide recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range
• Communicate staffing needs on shift to Account Manager or Operations Manager
• Affirm that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills
• Assure that employee grievances are heard with help from appropriate district or region HR support
• Administer Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety programs outlining site-specific hazards for professional security officers on assigned shift including vehicle/driving safety as appropriate to Corporate procedures
• Assist Account or Operations Manager to manage uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
• Handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of law enforcement, military, corrections or armed security experience
• Valid drivers license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months)
• Minimum of 21 years of age

Pay

Hourly pay starts at $23.50 / hour

Schedule

Full Time
Eight hour shifts:
Day Shift: 6am - 2pm
Evening Shift: 2pm - 10pm
Overnight Shift: 10pm - 6am
