About the role

The Armed Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. This role serves as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach professional security officers within the approved empowerment range.
  • Communicate staffing needs on the shift to the Account Manager or Operations Manager.
  • Ensure officers receive appropriate training, focusing on both technical and professional skills.
  • Handle employee grievances with assistance from appropriate district or region HR support.
  • Administer Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety programs, ensuring compliance with site-specific hazards, including vehicle/driving safety.
  • Afford assistance to the Account or Operations Manager in managing uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists.
  • Be prepared to work in various environments, including cold weather, rain/snow, or heat, occasionally lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds, climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders, and standing/walking on various surfaces for long periods.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with all levels of personnel and the general public professionally and effectively.
  • Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
