Security Shift Supervisor - Armed
About the role
The Armed Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. This role acts as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach professional security officers within the approved empowerment range.
- Deal effectively with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
- Manage staffing needs on the shift to Account Manager or Operations Manager.
- Ensure professional security officers receive appropriate training and develop their technical and professional skills.
- Handle employee grievances with help from appropriate HR support.
- Administer Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety programs, including vehicle/driving safety.
- Affirm appropriate inventory and maintenance checklists for uniforms, equipment, and vehicles.
- Communicate with Account Manager or Operations Manager regarding uniforms, equipment, and vehicles.
- Assist in managing uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles utilized at the account.
- Work in various environments, including cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during the shift.
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Licenses are subject to state and local laws and regulations.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology.
- Handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Able to work in various environments and conditions.
Pay
Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00/hr. Monday - Friday 1400 - 2200
