Security/Overnight Houseperson
We’re looking for a dedicated Overnight Security & Houseperson team member to help protect our guests, staff, and property, support overnight cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service.
About the role
This full-time position focuses on maintaining the safety and security of our hotel premises while assisting with overnight housekeeping tasks. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Pay
Starting salary range: $15.50–$16.50/hour or more based on experience. New hires can earn wage increases at 30, 60, and 90 days.
Schedule
Wednesday–Thursday: 3 pm–11 pm
Friday–Saturday: 10:30 pm–6:30 am
Schedule may change based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Patrol hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, investigate suspicious activity, and conduct security checks.
- Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and emergency situations professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the front desk and management team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and local safety regulations; report any incidents as necessary.
- Assist with emergency response procedures and coordinate with local authorities when required.
- Support overnight cleanliness and housekeeping tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks: patrolling, standing for extended periods, responding quickly to emergencies, and lifting, pushing, or carrying supplies.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while supporting a team.
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Friendly and professional demeanor, especially during late-night hours.
