Security Operations Center Dispatcher
Principle Responsibilities
- Manages requests for security and emergency services.
- Maintains communication channels including phones, radios, intercoms, and other tools.
- Prioritizes calls for service based on urgency and criticality, and takes appropriate action.
- Gathers detailed information from callers and records all officer activities.
- Sends urgent communications through mass notification systems, electronic and overhead paging systems.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment by monitoring the physical environment and security systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance checks and identifies discrepancies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree in general studies.
- 0 to 2 years working in dispatch or call center, Security Operations Center, or related functions.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary: Lifting up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently.
Pay
Pay Range: $24.62 to $33.74 per hour.
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
Schedule
Every weekend
12-hour day shifts (Wednesday 10:30am-2:30pm, Thursday-Saturday 6:30am-7:00pm, Sunday-Tuesday off)
1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
