About the role

As a Security Officer X Ray Patrol Agent in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will work in a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative workplace contributing to a culture that positively impacts the communities and customers we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify approved entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or drivers, and help to support orderly movement of people, packages, and vehicles at the location.
  • Observe site operations and report damaged doors, gates, lighting, equipment, and/or other conditions that may impact security-related operations or facility protocols.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
