Security Officer with Active Clearance Unarmed Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer with Active Clearance at a shelter location in San Antonio, TX, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using technology to document activities. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options through our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and disruptive behavior.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$26.79 / hour

- Saturday: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
