About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and respond to security-related concerns. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access concerns, unauthorized entry attempts, and emergency notifications.
- Communicate professionally with facility personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, adjacent business spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Day shift: Saturday, 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Evening shift: Sunday, 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
