About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Hattiesburg, MS, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document observations, incidents, and shift activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and public responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly workplace environment.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$12.00 / Hour

- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
