Job Description
As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach while responding to site needs with agility and professionalism.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site expectations and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Support retail loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd management, and communicating with local authorities and/or emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
