Security Officer Utilities Route Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utility location in Riviera Beach, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support badge and visitor access processes. This driving position requires a valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
