What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site protocols and utility location requirements.
- Support emergency and severe weather procedures by communicating relevant information, assisting with controlled access during incidents, and following post orders for utility-related operations.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Guard card is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
