Security Officer - Electric Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report irregularities involving restricted areas, equipment, or infrastructure.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership by completing incident reports, maintaining post logs, and sharing timely updates related to security-related events, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is required.
• Guard card is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Computer or tablet proficiency.
