Security Officer Patrol Utility

About the Role

As a Security Officer Patrol Utility in Juno Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and incident documentation.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Report observed hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
