Security Officer Unarmed Screening Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Screening Patrol in Axis, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle access in accordance with site protocols, and communicate access concerns or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support site operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance to employees and visitors, and completing required logs, reports, and other post documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
