Security Officer Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Rover in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or customers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution setting.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, assist with access control procedures, and help support the protection of sensitive areas, property, and/or information in accordance with site expectations.
• Observe and report hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, helping to support orderly daily operations and a professional environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
