Security Officer Unarmed Residential Community Full Time

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Locust Grove, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts. As an Access Control Officer at a resort-style location, you will help manage entry points, greet residents and visitors, verify access credentials, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will monitor activity, communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to guests, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate logs for guests, vendors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with property procedures.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel and resort grounds, common areas, parking locations, amenities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with property staff, guests, and emergency responders while documenting incidents, observations, and access-control activities according to site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Full Time position at $18.04 / Hour. Schedule: Monday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Tuesday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sunday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
