About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tablet Reporting in Whitsett, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document security-related activities using computer or tablet tools, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by communicating professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
