Security Officer Unarmed - Patrol Monitor

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Patrol Monitor in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will work at a dynamic technology data center location, monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and helping maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining accurate logs and documentation of security-related activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support the protection of critical technology infrastructure by following established protocols for visitor management, vehicle access, deliveries, and restricted-area entry.

Requirements

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience with alarm panels.
