Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help follow visitor management, badge verification, and/or entry procedures in support of a healthcare location's daily operations.
• Support staff and visitors with directions, de-escalation, and/or assistance during medical, behavioral, or facility-related events while maintaining professional communication.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
