About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Incident Assessment in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols
- Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

$22.28 / Hour
