About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location in Montgomery, AL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will respond to alarms, document observations, and communicate professionally while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$16.30 / hour
Schedule
- Friday: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
