About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Days in Dayton, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized individuals, and maintaining awareness of activity at the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
