Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Marion, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and document activities using computer or tablet systems. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of movement throughout assigned posts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
