Security Officer Unarmed Full Time Overnights

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.20 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time overnight shift: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
