As a Security Officer Patrol Full Time in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, report observations, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
