Security Officer Unarmed Full Time Afternoons

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Badge Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Professional supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and personnel while contributing to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor authorization as required, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and/or operational updates.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Day Time: Tuesday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Wednesday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Thursday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Friday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Saturday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
