As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Support in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a professional environment through routine patrols, teamwork, and integrity while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting access-control concerns according to site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.95 per hour

Monday: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM; Tuesday: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM; Friday: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM; Saturday: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM; Sunday: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
