Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Foot Patrol Security Officer in Burkville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, observe and report conditions, and provide outstanding customer service at a chemical/petrochemical manufacturing location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations calmly and problem-solving, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-area perimeters, parking areas, gates, and other assigned locations to identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site policies.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation; communicate observations and relevant security-related information to supervisors and site personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.65 per hour.
