About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Burkville, AL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report conditions, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule that works for you, including opportunities to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-area perimeters, parking areas, gates, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site policies.
- Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation; communicate observations and relevant security-related information to supervisors and site personnel.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
