About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Compliance Security Officer in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic technology environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and promptly notify Allied Universal leadership and site contacts of security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
