About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Watch in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This part-time, unarmed patrol position at a busy retail location requires a valid driver’s license and offers flexibility through our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, deter security incidents, and deliver customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, documenting details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to support loss prevention, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior.
• Assist with opening/closing activities, control access to restricted areas, and provide guidance during alarms, emergencies, or evacuations as directed by site procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions per Allied Universal driver policy).
• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Thursday: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Part-time position with flexibility to claim additional shifts.
