About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer Driver Alarm Response in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate reports and logs of incidents, patrols, and observed conditions.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related matters.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$18.96 / hour
Schedule
- Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
