Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and help maintain awareness of authorized entry procedures, reporting access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus contacts.

Requirements

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
