About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Darlington, SC, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to use communication and technology skills while contributing to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment for authorized personnel and guests.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience are required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.

$15.00 / Hour

- Wednesday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Thursday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Friday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
